President’s Welcome
Leah Schlein
2025 President
On behalf of the Adelaide University Law Students’ Society (AULSS) Committee, I extend a very warm welcome to the AULSS website and Adelaide Law School.
It is a great honour to serve as 2025 President and lead a team of dedicated student volunteers who are committed to enriching the law school experience.
The AULSS plays an integral role in the lives of its members and I’m immensely proud of our history and the many events and initiatives we offer. We strive to create opportunities for students at each stage of their law journey to connect with peers, network with industry professionals, and to develop skills that will help them succeed both at law school and in their legal careers.
As President, I act as the official representative of the AULSS on all internal and public matters and represent the interests of our law students to all relevant bodies and the wider community. I am also committed to advancing the Society’s interests whilst upholding the AULSS Constitution.
A key focus for our team in 2025 is preparing our Society for the upcoming university merger. 2025 is the final year the AULSS will represent students studying a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Adelaide. From 1 January 2026, our cohort will include students from the University of South Australia law school and operate in collaboration with the new Adelaide University. We are excited about the additional opportunities this brings and are committed to working with both universities to ensure a smooth transition for all students.
