Presidents’ Welcome

Patricia Pappas

2024 President

Welcome to the AULSS website! My name is Patricia Pappas, and I am honoured to serve as your President for 2024.

The AULSS is dedicated to enriching your experience as a law student at Adelaide Law School. We strive to create opportunities for you to connect with your peers, learn from legal professionals, and develop skills that will help you succeed in your legal career. We are also committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our society and the legal profession as a whole.

As President, my responsibility is to act as the official representative of the Society in all public matters and affairs, and in a private capacity within the Society, with the intention of upholding our Constitution and advancing the Society’s public interests.

If you have any questions, ideas, or suggestions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at president@aulss.org. Our committee is here to serve you and ensure that you have the best possible experience as a member of the AULSS.

Leah Schlein

2024 Vice-President

Welcome to the Adelaide University Law Students’ Society website. My name is Leah Schlein and I am the 2024 Vice-President of the AULSS.

I am responsible for the governance and administrative matters of the Society and to ensure we operate in compliance with the AULSS Constitution, its policies, and the Associations Incorporation Act 1985 (SA).

The AULSS is the primary representative body for undergraduate students at the Adelaide Law School. We act as an integral link between the student body, the Law Faculty, the wider university community and the legal industry.

I am proud of the positive role the AULSS plays in the lives of our law students and the breadth of support we offer our members. We have a dedicated First Nations, Mature Student, International Support and Queer representative who are committed to advocating for our diverse student cohort.

I invite you to contact me directly via vp@aulss.org if I can assist you in any way. I also encourage you to visit our office in room 106 of the Ligertwood building. We have a comfy couch and plenty of tea and coffee for you to enjoy.
